So many people tell me that they could never do an art quilt or paint a picture.  My response is usually that I can't play the piano either.  Why is it that we think that we ought to be able to sit down and immediately create a masterpiece of art?  Art like anything else requires the learning of techniques, design principles, and practice.  Most of my students have never had art education or practice.  I tell them that it is MY job to teach them what they need to know to be successful.  They just need to be willing to learn.  I am proud of what they are able to accomplish in their first class.  Even more fun for me is to see them get excited about what they are able to do with a little instruction.  This gallery page is theirs to share with you their work.
